Data Hierarchy--Component IndexingΓäó (slide 3 of 6)
As seen in this systems level screen for Powertrain Management, several information types are available and are shown as icons on the top half of the screen. Remember, information type icons will only appear if there is data available. The lower portion of the screen lists all the SubSystems or Components available for a given System, in this case Powertrain Management. This saves you time and eliminates the guesswork about what information is available for the currently selected system, subsystem or component. To go one level deeper into the component hierarchy, we will choose "Computers and Control Systems." To continue, click on the text as indicated by the red arrow.
